"Mom," as she’s now known, made a heart-wrenching journey to a veterinary clinic, carrying her injured puppy in her mouth, hoping for help.
A Mother's Determined Effort
When "Mom" arrived at the Beylikduzu Alfa Veterinary Clinic, she didn’t hesitate for a second. Clutching her limp, hypothermic puppy in her mouth, she went straight to the clinic door, seeking urgent care. The puppy was barely alive, but the mother wasn’t giving up on her child.
The clinic team, led by Dr. Baturalp Dogan, immediately sprang into action. Despite the puppy being unresponsive, they detected a faint heartbeat. That small sign of life was all they needed to fuel their efforts. Using a hair dryer to warm the puppy and administering life-saving treatment, they worked quickly to revive it.
The Vet Team's Quick Action
The staff wasted no time. As soon as they noticed that faint heartbeat, they got to work warming the puppy and providing critical care. Slowly, the puppy began to respond. The mother’s instinct to bring her puppy to the clinic had given this little one a chance at survival.
Earlier that day, another puppy had been brought to the clinic by well-meaning animal lovers. But it wasn’t until "Mom" returned with her last surviving pup that the full picture became clear. This mother wasn’t just looking for help for one puppy; she was determined to save all of her little ones.
A Heartwarming Reunion
Thanks to the care of the veterinary team, both puppies started to recover. Dr. Oghan, another vet at the clinic, shared that the mother dog’s milk wasn’t enough to nourish the puppies, so the clinic provided extra support. But despite the difficulties, both puppies showed steady improvement over the following days.
"The puppies are doing well now," Dr. Oghan said. "It will still take some time for them to fully heal, but they’re on the right track."
The staff couldn’t help but admire the mother’s incredible determination. "Her story has touched all of us," Dr. Oghan added. "She’s smart, caring, and her love for her puppies is truly extraordinary."
