Your Waggle Pet Monitor watches your pet's environment around the clock. What if the power goes out? The Power Loss Alert notifies you immediately. It tells you the moment your monitor loses power. With power loss alerts, you're never caught off guard. The Power Loss Alert makes sure you know right away, so you can take action if needed.
There are two situations where a Power Loss Alert fires — and they work slightly differently.
When your monitor is plugged in:
- If there's a power outage, you'll receive a Power Loss Alert right away.
- Once power is restored, a Power Recovery Alert is sent automatically. No action needed on your end.
When your monitor is unplugged manually:
- The device switches to battery mode — but a Power Loss Alert is still sent.
- This is by design. The monitor doesn't know whether you unplugged it on purpose or the power went out. It notifies you either way.
In short: any time your device loses power — whether it's an outage or an accidental unplug — you'll be notified. No guessing required.
Here's how to turn it on (or off) in just a few steps
How to enable or disable Power Loss Alerts
- Open the Waggle app on your phone.
- Tap your pet monitor widget on the home screen.
- Tap Settings in the top-right corner.
- Under Device Preferences, tap Alerts.
- Tap Power Alerts.
- Toggle Power Loss Alert to the right to turn it on, or to the left to turn it off.
That's it. Once it's on, you'll get a notification any time your monitor loses power.
Good to know
- The alert fires as soon as power is lost — there's no delay.
- While you'll receive SMS and Email alerts! You can have your push notifications enabled on your phone too. Check your phone's notification settings for the Waggle app if you're not receiving alerts.
- This setting applies to the specific monitor you've selected. If you have more than one monitor, check the settings for each one separately.
